Driving Directions

From the north:

1. Take I-57 to University Avenue exit
2. Take University Avenue east to Sixth Street (travel through west Champaign, downtown Champaign, under the railroad tracks, and begin to look for the yellow muffler shop sign on the southeast corner of Sixth and University – there is no stop sign at this corner.)
3. Take Sixth Street south through the light at Springfield, and turn right into the municipal lot just before the Kinko’s Copy shop, before crossing Green Street.

From the south:

1. Take I-57 to Monticello Road exit
2. Take Monticello Road east (right) to Route 45
3. Take Route 45 north (left) to Green Street.
4. Take Green Street east (right) to Fifth Street (watch for IHOP at Fourth Street, Pizza Hut at Fifth, and the entrance to the municipal lot just before Sixth Street on the left-hand side of the street.
5. Turn north (left) into the municipal lot.

From the east or west:

1. Take I-74 to Lincoln Avenue exit
2. Take Lincoln Avenue south to Green Street.
3. Take Green Street west (right) to Sixth Street. Turn north (right) into the municipal lot immediately after going through the light at Sixth Street.

Parking Information

Meters:

You may park in any UI campus lot with visitor meters (the closest lots would be on the top level of the parking structure C-7, located on the corner of John and Sixth Streets, or behind the new Illini Union Bookstore, between John and Daniel off of Sixth Street. Click here for a map.) There are also Champaign city meters on the streets throughout campus.

Sixth Street is a one-way street (heading south). Lot C-7 is one of two parking structures within a block of each other. C-7 is furthest north and east.

1. Take Green Street to Fifth (Pizza Hut is on this corner)
2. Turn south onto Fifth Street
3. Turn east onto John Street (first stop sign). John is a one-way street.

You must enter the parking lot from John Street. There are parking meters on the top level of the structure. (Quarters only.)

The new Tech Plaza Building is located one block north and one-half block east of the parking garage, on the north side of the street. Walk north and cross Green Street, turn right, and walk past the bank, the coffee shop, and the empty retail space. The doors to Tech Plaza are just before you get to the Subway restaurant. The NCA office and conference room is in Suite 201.

Municipal Lot:

The closest lot to our office is the municipal lot at the corner of Sixth and Green, just west of our building. There is an attendant on duty, so exact change is not required.

There is a municipal lot just one-half block west of our building, on the corner of Green and Sixth Streets. There is a parking attendant, so you don’t need exact change. The parking fee for the municipal lot and the city meters on the street are the same price. The lot may be entered from Green Street or from Healey. Sixth Street is a one-way street (heading south).

If you are parking in the municipal lot, walk east on Green Street, crossing Sixth, and walk past the bank, Murphy’s Pub, a coffee shop and bookstore. The doors to Tech Plaza are marked with a large “Kaplan” sign above the door, just before the Subway restaurant. The NCA office is in Suite 201.
